I don't know what you were doing last night, but...
I know where Sofia and I were. Belleville Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. Wanna know why? Well it started out at dinner. Noah and Rylan were not good. Loud voices, not staying in their seats. We were in a restaurant with a primarily older clientele. I could just hear them clicking their tongues and telling the rest of their party that my kids needed their butts spanked. So their punishment for their horrendous behavior was go to bed early. So we got home and I put them to bed. It was only seven o'clock and broad daylight. I knew they weren't sleeping, but they were playing quietly. Then I heard the "oh my gosh someone's REALLY hurt" scream. And it was Fia. So what happened? While playing hide and seek, Sofia hid in the toy box. The toy box has a safety hinge on it to keep from slamming shut on baby fingers. Sofia's arm was pinched in the safety hinge. Turns out, the latch, when it closes sends a pin out which locks into the top of the toy box. Sofia's little baby arm was grabbed by that pin and held. I had to open the lid all the way to get her out. It was bad. I knew immediately we were headed to the ER. Four Stitches and a band aid and we were all fixed up. Here's a post stitches picture. You don't won't to see the before...

Bragging on Noah...
So all of my posts today are about Noah. Sorry Ry and Fi. So on Sunday's at our pool, they have games set up for the kids. The first game of the day is the Limbo. Noah and Rylan both competed and were knocked out early on. You know, bad refs... :) So the next game was the big splash contest off of the diving board. About 30 kids participated. They paired the kids with others of similar weight and then simultaneously they would jump off the two diving boards. Whoever made the biggest splash won. Noah at 50 pounds was by far the tiniest. The next smallest kid was at least 100 pounds. Bigger and older. Noah's prospects weren't looking good. When it was his turn, him and the other boy climbed up on the diving boards, and on go they raced to the end. The other boy cannonballed off. Noah stopped bounced and half cannon balled with his legs out. Between the delayed entry into the water and the position entering the water Noah won easily. He repeated this six or seven more times. He ended up getting 2nd. He won a free snickers bar. He was very happy and proud. You know the rest of the story, three kids, one candy bar...

Epcot - Orange Frenzy
Well Epcot photos are actually out of chronological order, because I forgot the digital camera, and I had to buy a disposable. Sorry! Wednesday was Claire's ninth birthday so we had lunch in Japan at Teppan Edo. The kids had never been to a restaurant where they cook in front of you. They were enthralled. The food was amazing. But the entertainment was top notch.

Fort DeSoto
Hollywood Studios - Invasion of the Yellow Shirts

Noah, Claire and Rylan rocked the 3-D glasses to see Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest of the Muppets...
When our group entered into the line for the Backlot Tour at Hollywood Studios, Wade, Eric, Sarah and I were asked to take part in the show. Eric and I (I wanted Wade to do it!) ended up being the "chosen" two. It was fun, but horribly embarassing. I can say with 100% certainty that an acting career is not in my future.
Oh yeah, and we ended up soaking wet!
Free Day!
Eric and Sarah took the girls and went to the water park. Wade and I took the kids to explore a little bit of Orlando, played some mini golf, swam and fished.
Noah fishing at the campground.
Rylan making a splash on the kids water slide. The campground pool was amazing. Complete with adult water slides, kids water slides, baby pool, kids play area, hot tub. And it was all open 24 hours.
Noah (green goggles) and Rylan (red life jacket) loved the huge pool.
Rylan golfed like he had to hit his ball the length of a football field. By the end of the game, Ry had lost his red ball and was playing with Wade's former ball.

Bowling League.
Noah and Rylan are on a bowling league this summer. They both do pretty well. Noah refuses to use the bumpers so Ry's score is usually better. Here are a few cute pics of the bowling duo.

Noah is also playing Khoury League (Machine Pitch, not t-ball - Noah keeps getting after me for calling it t-ball.) Noah loves it. Pictures coming soon...

Magic Kingdom - Blue Shirts Everywhere!

So in planning for our Disney vacation, Sarah and I decided that two things would make it easier to keep tabs on seven kids under nine. Identical shirts and removable tattoos with our cell phone numbers on them. It also made sorting photos a breeze. Blue - Magical Kingdom. Orange - Epcot and Yellow - Hollywood Studios.
This is one of my favorite photos from The Magic Kingdom. Our circus babies... (PS - Thanks Sarah your shot is much better than mine!)
Claire and Noah were quite the pair for our entire Florida vacation. They rode every ride together. Never fought and even managed to pass their moods between the two of them. So cute.
Sofia loves Cinderella. We made the above shirt specifically for The Magic Kingdom and the day she would come face to face with the "real" Cinderella. At the end of the day, when she finally met her. All she could do was smile and point.

Noah at Ariel's Grotto. Could he be more beautiful?
Emilie, Claire, Noah and Rylan were thrilled to have the camera ready for their climb to the top of one of the many restaurant signs.
April 21st... Really.
So I haven't posted in forever. We have been so busy. End of school. Vacation. Weddings. Not to mention work Here's a run down on the happenings of the Trapp family.
Noah and Rylan's school years ended on positive notes. Noah will be starting 2nd grade in the fall. And Rylan, not yet old enough for kindergarten, will start his second year in pre-k. Noah already misses his friends and Rylan misses everything about school.
As far as big news, Sofia was accepted into the fall pre-kindergarten class at Noah and Rylan's school. She is very excited. We are hoping for an easy transition into the school routine. She is fortunate to be in the same class as Rylan. She can be so shy.
We just returned home from a nearly two week vacation in Florida. We had a great time. We spent the first part of our trip in Orlando at the Disney Wilderness Campground. And then finished up our trip in Tampa with a visit to Grandma and Grandpa Loomis's. I have lots of pictures. Wade and I (Mainly I) took 400 pictures and then I have another 400 beautiful pictures courtesy of our vacation buddies Eric and Sarah.
