Rylan asked me the other day if there were still Mommy's. Obviously, the first thing he got from me was a questioning look. Then I said "Ry every woman that has a baby is a Mommy. Why wouldn't there be anymore Mommys?" I thought this conversation was because my Mom had to put her 17 year old pomeranian to sleep, and it has confused Rylan to no end. It set off an endless set of questions about death and Heaven. After Wade buried the dog in my Mom's backyard, Rylan even asked if she had to dig her way to Heaven. And the whole thing has made him scared that something would happen to Mommy or Daddy. If you know of any children's books on the topic, we could really use one.
Anyway, he looked at me like I was crazy and said "I mean Mummy's. The people they wrap up with toilet paper..."
So this weekend we took the Crazies to see the
Mummy's at the St. Louis Art Museum.
