Easter Photos

Here is a preview of the Crazies Easter photos. I have yet to make it to the post office, but I promise to get them in the mail this weekend.

Easter

This was the start to our Easter break. Wade cornered me as I arrived home from work and asked me if I knew what had happened to the side of the camper. Obviously clueless, I walked around the side of the house and saw a big whole popped neatly in the middle of the camper's door. (In the photo it is covered in tape) Then Wade and I started plotting the best way to discover the truth about what happened. After bringing the Crazies outside and asking them what had happened, Wade and I got story after story from Rylan. Makes you think he's the guilty party doesn't it? But the stories were so extreme that they were obviously not true. As they say, desperate times call for desperate measures, we pretended we had to call the police. We told the kids that if they didn't do it, that Daddy and I were going to have to call the police. We explained all about vandalism and how it would have to be reported to the police so that we could have the camper fixed through the insurance. Through the whole discussion, I kept waiting for Noah to confess. I truthfully thought he had hit it with a golf ball. Wade and I weren't even watching the other two. Finally, completely frustrated with the lack of answers, we turned around to go inside. When I looked down at Fia, she was crying. And when I looked at her, her tears turned into great big sobs. Sofie was the guilty party. Princess Fifi had hit the camper with a skateboard.

Fast forward a few day, and I am once again called to the side of the camper. Noah had hit a bouncy ball with his baseball bat and busted out the window...

And that is why they are the crazies!

We tried something knew this year. Noah, Rylan, Sofie and I went to Michaels and bought 3 unfinished baskets. And one giant letter for each of their names. We then went home and the Crazies were allowed to decorate the baskets however they liked. It was a really fun project and they turned out really cute.

Easter 2011

Our Easter this year was pleasantly uneventful. Wade and I hosted my side of the family for brunch. And of course, an Easter egg hunt. Unfortunately it has done nothing but rain for weeks and the kids were forced to hunt eggs in the house and garage...




I even managed to get a few decent photos of the kids.

Catch Up

Sorry for the lapse in posts, we are having some technical difficulties with the internet on the desktop computer at home. Because of this, I haven't been able to upload photos. Which, effectively shuts down the blog. Huge apologies...

As for everything else, I think the weather here has finally evened out. (I haven't had to run any more mixed loads of mittens, coats and shorts) And we have finally gotten to take the camper out. A full month later than last year!

The kids have been celebrating the wonderful return of spring. We have been spending most of our time outdoors. The kids have even had plenty of time for patio art.

Two weeks ago, we were even able to spend a warm afternoon at the zoo. The zoo was filled with baby animals. An overwhelming favorite was the baby giraffe. The Crazies even made it almost six hours before wearing out. And even through all the crying and fit throwing at the end of the day. They still didn't want to leave.
Sofie loved the guinea pigs in the Children's Zoo. Upon arriving home, she asked Daddy if she could get a guinea pig of her own. Daddy asked her who would feed it. She replied "I will". Then he asked, "Who will give it water?". She eagerly responded, "I will". Then Daddy asked "Who will clean up all the poop and pee?" She responded "Mommy!"...

The kids favorite part of the day was the train ride.
I love this photo! Rylan makes the cutest faces. It reminds me of the photo of Ry and Elise from Kansas City.
Last weekend, we took the camper out for the first outing of the season. We camped at Jellystone in Eureka, MO. And spent a day at Purina Farm's Easter Village with the Humes family. It was our first visit to Easter Village, and we were quite impressed. The Crazies got to hold puppies brought in from the APA. And Purina had tons of other baby's to see and hold.

The baby lambs were a little skittish, but allowed for a quick picture.
The rabbits were much friendly and the Crazies were able to hold and cuddle them.

The day we returned from camping, the kids spent the morning in the backyard. They emptied the toy box, and turned it into a snake enclosure. Then they set about catching as many snakes as they could find. They caught 15 garter snakes!!! Here are a few of the catch...
