Our last weekend of 2011, was a busy one. On Friday, my sister in law, Megan celebrated her 3oth birthday with a get together at her & Jay's home. After the party, we began our drive to Normal Illinois, for my cousin Keith's wedding. We stopped Friday night at the Springfield Hilton. Our view from the 28th floor was lovely. Our morning, began with a debate between Wade and I about driving to the various historic sites or leaving the car in the parking garage. I will share with you that Wade's sticking point was that it was parked for FREE at the Hilton. I voted to drive to the various sites. It was cold outside, and I was in no mood to freeze my hiney off! Or for that matter, to listen to the Crazies complain about how far it was... How cold they were... How boring it was walking around... etc. Turns out Wade was sooooo right. Check out our beautiful hotel. It was so close it made every photo of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Lincoln's Home.

Noah was particularly creeped out when we requested the kiddos to pose for a picture with the realistic wax figures of Lincoln and his family...

Noah (Age 9) has passed up Abe!

A Lincoln statue they were okay posing with...

For New Years Eve, we celebrated with Juli & Keith and their family and friends for their wedding. It was an amazing wedding. And we were very happy to have celebrated with such an amazing couple.
