On Christmas Eve, we visited with Wade's family at his Aunt Sherry and Uncle Den's. It snowed all day, and the roads made the commute a tad on the treacherous side. There were numerous cars in the ditches. It tripled our commute time, but it was well worth it.
By the time we arrived, the Crazies were so excited to see their cousins. Emma and Audrey were up from Texas, and Rylan couldn't wait to see Zoe. The kids are all getting so big. The holidays, and all family get togethers, used to be so work intensive. The homes you visit generally aren't baby proofed. And Wade and I would spend the whole visit chasing babies. Guarding the hosts possessions and insuring that the kids were safe in a foreign environment. But this Christmas, we were able to relax and chat with our families. It may signal the end of the baby years, but it is a welcome change.
