This has been the craziest winter. We have had incredibly large amounts of snow and ice. It's beautiful to look at, but I could do without the rest of it. No school! Missing Work! I need those vacation days for California! At the beginning of last week, we had three snow days. (The snow was perfect for making snowmen, or so I have been told, having never made a snowman myself.) And the kids quickly got to work. They built four snowmen. During the construction of these snowmen, they used approximately 2 pairs of pants, four pairs of socks, 3 shirts, 2 coats, and 6 pairs of gloves per child. They kindly stacked all of the soaked and very dirty laundry in a basket next to the door after every change. As well as the liners to their soaked shoes, and any shoe they may have come in contact with mud of suspicious nature...Less than a week later, we are enjoying temperature in the seventy's. The kids were even allowed to play outside in shorts on Sunday. Rylan made a case for flip-flops, but it was VERY unsuccessful. I have no doubt that we will once again freeze before we are able to steal our beautiful weather back from Luca and Wyatt... But until then, I will be outside.
