This past weekend for Labor Day, we took the camper to Whippoorwill Lake. The weather was supposed to be scattered showers all weekend. However, when we got up Saturday morning it was nothing short of a downpour. And no end appeared in sight. We packed up, loaded the truck, hooked up the camper and loaded the kids, all in soak you to the bone rain. Wade had to change clothes for the drive, because he was soaked. We made almost the entire 2 hour drive in this same hard rain. I think Wade and I were both waiting for the other to call the trip off. But 15 minutes before we arrived at the campground the rain stopped. And by the time we got the camper set up and everything unpacked the weather was perfect for swimming. The rain never returned. We spent three days swimming, fishing and playing outside.
