So Sofia hasn't taken to ballet like a duck to water. Mostly because she is apparently very shy. And the other little girls are just way to terrifying to be dealt with by any other means than complete hysteria. After our first class, I was dreading going back. After all at our first class, a mere hello by a teeny tiny three year old girl sent my baby hiding behind my legs with tears streaming down her little face. Luckily the final activity at Sofie's first ballet class was kicking bubbles. And she loved kicking bubbles. It was shocking to see how high such a tiny body could kick. So as we were walking to our second class, I waited for the tears to start. All the way to the gym I watched for signs of tears - Nothing. Walked into the room - Nothing. We made it through the whole class without shedding a single tear. She still shyed from the other little girls. Sitting a little off to the side or making sure none of them stood to close at the bar. But she smiled at them and said hi. And she twirled and did all her other little dance moves. So we left our second class happy. The both of us...
