As many of you know, Wade, Noah and I recently spent a long weekend in Southern California. It was Noah's 2nd plane excursion. He loved every minute of it. And he made a great travel companion. The weekend consisted of a day at Universal Studios. (Just mere weeks before the backlot went up in flames.) Noah's fist real roller coaster ride. Can you believe he is tall enough for roller coasters? I wasn't tall enough until at least junior high, and I'm not exaggerating. And two days on beautiful Catalina Island. Here's some pics from our closest thing to a vacation this summer....

Noah and Mommy at City Walk in LA - Hard Rock
This is as close as we got to the restaurant. So many fabulous restaurants, Hard Rock didn't have a chance.

Noah on the ferry to Catalina.

Catalina Harbor and the city of Avalon

Garabaldi (Orange Fish) that live in the Pacific waters off Catalina.

Noah on our 5 mile hike across the island to the Wrigley Botanical Garden.
